Wyatt settled into his worn leather sofa with a fresh cup of coffee and his stack of medical journals. He was skimming the title of the first article when his doorbell rang. It had to be Caleb, who else could it possibly be on a dreary Sunday morning?

“Mornin’ Wyatt,” Caleb chirped happily when he opened the door. “I brought muffins and the Sunday morning Chronicle. I didn’t know what kind of muffins you like, so I got an assortment. I thought we could spend a quiet morning reading the paper over muffins. Just say yes,” he grinned at his friend who looked like he had just gotten out of bed.
